BIO:
I began my journey with clay after taking a handbuilding class. That class sparked a love of clay in me that has forever changed my life.
I now have a home studio, successfully participate in shows, enjoy a small spot in a Greer shop and am a member of several galleries.
I am a ceramist who makes decorative pottery. I work with stoneware clay and my work is solely slab built. I enjoy allowing my organic shaped pieces to evolve, rather than trying to control them with the use of a wheel. My work intentionally reflects this method of pottery making and I sometimes allow marks to show through. I believe being able to clearly see that pieces are made by hand lets their uniqueness shine.
I continue taking courses and attending various seminars to learn about new techniques and my work is constantly evolving.
