Surviving a South Carolina Winter

By February 12, 2025No Comments

It is February in South Carolina and those of us who have been here a while know that means we can experience all 4 seasons in a week. Who am I kidding. I’m fairly certain we have done that in just one day. We look at snow days as a gift from the heavens, literally. We are forced to stay home. We might think it is a day to get something done inside that we have been putting off but since the day is a gift it should be honored as one. Artists know how to fill the unexpected gift of a free day. These are the days we can explore a new method, a new medium, a new idea.

Here is a schedule for a guilt-free day for you to try.

       9:00   Sleep late!

9:30-Breakfast while thumbing through the assorted gardening catalogs you have been receiving.

10:30 Bake favorite cookies to serve as the prime caloric intake for the day.

11:15  Sample cookies and set up your studio or workspace and get  creating.

6:00 Turn on the news to see if tomorrow is a repeat event.

At the White Rabbit we can offer you guidance to help explore your creative side.   Come by the Gallery and see what captures your fancy.  We have wonderful examples of a wide variety of beautiful creations to inspire you. We offer classes to help you find your muse. Come see us. We’ll talk art or craft with you and help you get started.  You can find your muse, you can be an artist. You can make the gift of the snow day be a gift to embellish your life.
